Naomi Oni
who suffered acidic burns to her head, eye, neck, chest, arms and leg last
December on her way home from work at a shopping centre in Stratford, East
London, while chatting to her boyfriend on phone, has gradually regain her
looks.
So far just two
arrests have been made, a 21-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man on Friday and
Sunday respectively. After they suspected that she might have pour her self acid
Officers now want to speak to a
potential witness who got off the 368 bus in Lodge Avenue around five minutes
after the attack at around 12.40am on December 30.
He is described as black, aged between
20 and 30 years old, around 5ft 5ins tall and of medium build. He was wearing a
black jacket, a black hooded top and blue jeans.
Following the attack, Ms Oni said she
suffered the burns when a woman in a Muslim veil threw acid in her face.
Few weeks ago Naomi made an emotional
appeal to her attacker, she said: “I just want this person to come forward. How
can they sleep at night knowing they have done this?
“I have stopped hating them. I just
feel sorry for them and I wonder what’s going on in their life to want to make
someone else suffer like that.
